What personal data we collect and why we collect it

BLOG – We do not capture personal information other than that non-identifying information about site visitation and what pages were visited and how often.

E-Commerce – When you visit the site, we do not capture personal information other than that someone visited the site and what pages were. It is not individualized information. If you place an order or fill in information on a cart page, such as name, email address, and transactional data, such as purchase information, everything but your credit information will be stored. Credit information is private, we never see the number on your card, nor is it stored in our system. 

Personal data is not just created by a user’s interactions with our site. Personal data is also generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds.By default WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. This means when Bleuberet and it associates login from the backend to update information. 


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

We do not use Gravatars, thus eliminating some of the data that may be collected. 


We do not allow for media uploads to our site and all images are either the property of Bleuberet or have been used in accordance with licensing regulations of usage. 

Embedded content from other websites (such as links to other recipes or reference articles, or youtube videos). 

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We do not use contact form information for marketing purposes. Only if you subscribe to our newsletter or make a purchase from 


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

You may create an account on our E-Commerce site, Should you chose to do so, your name and email information may be used for marketing purposes.

Who we share your data with

We share transactional information necessary to complete online purchases on with BigCommerce (our ecommerce platform), Stripe and PayPal for payment processing, and Endicia and USPS for shipping. Mailchimp is our marketing management platform for newsletter signup and promotional mailings. By default WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.

Our analytical information is stored with non-identifying information. 

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have an account on this, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We work with the third-party platforms that our sites and use for seamless integration for our end-users. We do not sell or share your personal information other than as stated with our third party integrations, in which case it is only for transactional processes, shipping and managing our e-marketing management lists.
